Canadian Passport Holders do not need a visa
enter Ecuador if they stay less than 90 days,
but always need a six month valid passport.

COUNTRIES THAT REQUIRE TOURISM VISA TO ENTER INTO ECUADOR

Since September 3, 2010, nationals from the following countries require a tourist visa to enter Ecuador: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Somalia .
Chinese citizens who have permanent residence in Canada and wish to visit Ecuador as tourists need to request a “No Visa Required” stamp from the nearest Ecuadorian Consulate in Canada or the Consular Section of the Embassy of Ecuador in Ottawa, with presentation of their passport and documents proving that they are Canadian residents or landed immigrants. Citizens of Colombia need to present police record.
Citizens of any another nationality can enter Ecuador without a visa, to remain for a maximum period of ninety days, in application of the principle of free circulation of persons, with the aim to strengthen relations between Ecuador and all countries of the world, and to promote tourism.
